MURAL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHY WOULD I WANT A MURAL?
Murals can make a big impact on any kind of public space. You may be interested in a mural if you have an unfortunate looking wall or space that you would like to beautify. You may also be part of a community, town, museum or company that could use a good way to get their message across. Murals are a great way to transform a space and bring a pop of color to the world.
WHAT WILL IT COST?
Every project has different variables that impact final cost. Please email me if you are interested in an exact quote on any project.
In general, murals cost around $20 per square foot plust materials and equipment costs. This can change alot depending on size and complexity. If it’s huge, there’s a discount. If it’s simple it might be on the cheaper side fo things.
WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE?
I use a mix of high grade mural paint from Nova Color and top tier exterior house paint from Benjamin Moore. I use a high quality primer and exterior varnish to ensure good adjesion to the wall and a quality seal to protect the mural from the elements. These steps ensure your mural will last as long as possible.
ARE ALL YOUR MURALS “CARTOONY”?
My murals are typically designed in my illustration style with a bright colorful palette. I have also installed murals in other design and styles. If you this style or color palette doesn’t suit your needs, or if you have something already designed, I’m happy to work with you to arrive at the right solution for your building or situation.
WHAT IS YOUR DESIGN PROCESS LIKE?
After an initial meeting where I gather information about you and the project, a Sketch phase is completed. This phase explores a few different rough directions and arrives at a full color mock up of the custom design on your wall. Once we iron out budget and contracts, we’ll schedule the project as weather allows. Most murals take a week or two to install.
OK, BUT WHAT ABOUT...
Every mural is different. Feel free to email me at eron@eronhare.com to ask me anything you are still wondering about.
