My name is Eron and I am an animator and game designer based in Boston, MA.  

I am currently seeking full or part time employement as an environment artist, game designer and/or animator.

Employment Creative Lead, Co-Game Designer, 2024
“Bwirds” Playdate Game, ThreeThreeThree Games

Crafted all art, animation, writing, and narrative assets for a spelling game published by Panic Inc. for the Playdate console. Collaborated with the team on game design to prioritize accessibility, ensuring that players of all ages and reading levels could enjoy a challenging and inclusive experience without barriers tied to vocabulary.


Lead Animator, 2025
“Drift: Space Survival” Game Project, KAR Games

Currently working as lead Animator for Drift: Space Survival, a co-op survival adventure set in a mysterious asteroid field with crafting mechanics. Implemented animation systems from Blender to Godot for the various machines, mechanisms, ships and creatures in the game.

Authored and taught a 5 week course called “The Craft of Making Murals” for the Illustration Department. The course included a real world art installation and familiarized students with public art as both a business and a cultural practice.


3D Art Lead, 2023 - 2024
Cfinger Games LLC
“Cleared Hot” Game Project

Developed a cohesive visual language for use in an upcoming top down helicopter shooter game. Produced visual development for each biome including modeling, texturing and animation. Crafted custom vehicles, architecture and landscape elements. Established level designs and layouts that suited gameplay and a variety of mission objectives.


Freelance Artist, 2015 - PRESENT
Muralist, Illustrator + Animator

Freelance editorial illustrator for publications such as The New York Times, New Yorker and PLANSPONSOR. Designed, planned, and installed murals for a wide variety of clients and contexts.  Each project considered the geographic and cultural context as well as the client’s intent for their audience. Prominent projects include a cultural landmark mural commisioned by Credit Karma,  murals for breweries and postcard murals for local city governments.


Artist’s Assistant, 2016 - 2023

Developed illustrations for advertisements, product proposals, animations and public art installations.  Assisted with production for animated commercials. Produced, planned and installed murals to clients’s exact specifications. Painted in a variety of mediums to maintain artists’s method and overall style.  Clients include Shake Shack, Deloitte, Cole Haan, NYC MTA Museum, & Harry’s Shave Company.



Skills
GAME DESIGN / 3D ART / ANIMATION
Comfortable with production pipelines in a variety of 2D and 3D animation styles including pixel art, drawn and rigged workflows. Proficient in modeling, texturing, animation, particle simulations and material shaders in Blender. Experience with Environment Design in Unity. Familiar with the Godot and Unity Engines. Practiced in maintaining style guides. Proficient in animation production in Blender, Aseprite, Procreate, Adobe Animate, Photoshop + After Effects. 

ILLUSTRATION / DESIGN
Experience producing, concepting, organizing and editing illustrations for print and web publication. Extensive training in a variety of illustrator’s methods, including digital and traditional mediums. Drawing tablet proficient. Design background in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Proficiency with Procreate, iWorks, Microsoft Office, Google Docs. Social media savvy.

Professional expertise in design, planning and execution of murals.  Knowledge of architectural material concerns,  construction site and mechanical lift training.

ANIMATIONS


A. Blender Animation Reel
This collection of animated loops was created as an exploration of method and style for use in game projects to come. These ideas originated in my sketchbook practice and were refined in this digital claymation style.
    Each animated loop constains a game mechanic that I am currently exploring in game jam level prototypes.



B. Eron’s Animated Ag Fair
This animation contains a series of invented farming contraptions. Some are for planting, some are for plucking. Some of ‘em might be in a game someday.

C. ICON 11 Stage Installation
This video captures a behind the scenes glimpse of an animated art installation for the stage of the ICON 11 Illustration Conference held in Kasnsas City, MO Summer 2022.
    Artist Josh Cochran led the project with Design and Art Direction, while Motion Design was handled by Ara Devejian. I supported Ara with 3D Modeling assets in Cinema4D and with projection mapping. On site, I supervised the production and installation of numerous foam sculptures with a volunteer team of KCAI art students.
